President Donald Trump was not happy Tuesday morning as a possible ceasefire between Israel and Iran unraveled as both sides reportedly violated the ceasefire agreement.
Trump went on social media to direct Israel to “bring your pilots home, now!”
“Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do it is a major violation,” Trump posted on X and Truth Social.
This directive came on the heels of Trump announcing a ceasefire hours earlier.
“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!” the president wrote.
According to Fox News, Trump spoke about the ceasefire unraveling.
“I didn’t like plenty of things I saw yesterday,” he told reporters. “I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal. They didn’t have to unload, and I didn’t like the fact that — the retaliation was very strong. But in all fairness, Israel unloaded a lot. And now Israel just went out because they felt it was violated by one rocket that didn’t land anywhere. That’s not what we want,” Trump said, adding both sides violated the ceasefire deal.
“You know what we have? We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f— they’re doing. Do you understand that?” Trump said.
Minutes later, Trump announced the ceasefire was still in effect.
“All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!” Trump wrote.
However, both Iranian and Israeli media reported Israel had launched strikes on Iran, per Reuters. This reportedly came after Iran allegedly fired several missiles at Israel, which Iran has denied, per CNN.
